July 2026 Exhibits and New Artwork
My painting “Disconnect” is currently on exhibit at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum. It’s part of the “Our Common Ground” Exhibit June 26 - October 25.
“Disconnect” is my visual commentary on the impact of technology on human communications. Just as with people on social media, the fish are very aware of each other yet are still not sharing the same physical space or experience. They remain separated, each in their own” bubble”. They remain isolated. They are no at all having the same experience one gets from actually sharing physical space with another.
UPCOMING, Mid-July to Mid-October: Eight of my art pieces will be on exhibit ,along with the work of three other Artists, at the Bentonville branch of First National Bank of NWA. It is an honor to be considered for their quarterly art show, which is curated by Arkansas Artist Zeek Taylor. The art reception will be Thursday, August 6, 5pm-6:30pm. Free Admission. Light refreshments.
New Art!
“Golden Grace” 16×20 Alcohol inks & acrylic paint on canvas. Duplicate prints wll soon be available.
I’ve always found betta fish to be beautiful, so I painted one.
“Boots” 30×30 Alcohol inks & acrylic paint on canvas. Duplicate prints will soon be available.
I imagined work boots on a Roseate Spoonbill bird and it made me chuckle. So I painted one. I was honestly chuckling out loud as I painted the little tiny blue boots on this bird’s buddies who are flying in the background.
“The Explorer” 30×30 Alcohol inks & acrylic paint on canvas. Duplicate prints will soon be available.
Our cat, Turbo, was the model for this. His body positions crack me up. He sleeps with his legs up in the air as if he’s roadkill. When awake, he oftentimes lays on his side all stretched out like in this painting. To my eyes he looks like he’s swiming when he lays on his side like that. So I imagined him scuba diving.
He does not scuba dive in real life (to our knowledge).
But we’re pretty sure he would if he could.
You’ll find my art as part of a group Exhibit at the Fayetteville Public Library, July-August. This is an offsite Exhibit for The Art Gallery at NWA Mall.

NEW!! “Brewbeck” This was one of those rare paintings that comes about solely because I was practicing a new technique. Usually I just practice, not caring about the result. I’ll just paint over it later. But this one turned into something I thought worth finishing out to its conclusion and keeping.
The Title comes from me listening to Dave Brubeck music the first couple of hours I spent on it.
Alcohol inks on 16×20 canvas. $400.
I have 3 paintings on Exhibit in Minneapolis at the Art of Possibilities Show
I’ve delivered my art to the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum’s “Our Common Ground” Exhibit. It opens June 26th!
NEW!! “Tweety Head” I created this Mixed Media sculpture of a life sized Cockatiel from memory. A sweet Cockatiel lived with us for 15 years. I was thinking of him while creating this.
